It doesn't work how you think it works. There are several maxed out cards, some even legendary, that rent for less than 1 DEC:

And these are the prices put up for rent. It doesn't mean they will rent at these prices fast or at all. For many, the bid is even lower. Let's not forget that not everyone needs max level cards.

Before the 1 DEC listing fee, I had many of my unused cards up for rent. I couldn't even rent most of them, especially the single BCX ones even at 0,1. When the listing fee started, I left them for rent and eventually, almost all of them stopped being rented long enough to be removed. I wouldn't risk putting single BCX commons, rares, or even many epics and legendaries. Even at 0.1, I'm risking not ever renting them. Even if they rent, I need 11 days of rent to start profiting. Making the minimum rent 1 DEC will not make rents more profitable, it will make many cards not get rented at all. That will drive the cards' prices even further down. And it will certainly affect real players who rent.
