Hello everyone! Today I will talk about the promo cards in batch 2 of the Hall of Legends.
Let's look at the rare first:
The art is really nice. The 2 weapons represent well the Execute ability. The colors work very well with half purple half red background of the dual splinter card. Amazing work!
Looking at the max level stats and abilities, this is a fantastic card. It's not game breaking, but it's a good card that will fit most teams unless there's a very high mana cap, the rule sets make it not good, or the team synergy requires something else. Lorkus will love Night Stalker and Night Stalker will love Lorkus. Especially after CL moves out of Standard and there's no more Forcefield to worry about. What makes this guy deadly is the combination of Blast and Execute. Even without those abilities, this would be playable. They only help it feel special and more powerful.
I don't know the stats below max level but I expect the last level to either give Blast or increase from 3 to 4 attack. That way, it ensures that people will want this at max level, instead of choosing a lower level when the last level (or last few levels) only give marginal buffs like 1HP.
This will be a must have in Little League and the only thing that could make it better (without making it OP) would be giving it +1 armor. Ravenhood Warden could be a great pairing with Night Stalker!
Now, let's take a look at the legendary:
I think this is a good card but it's not as good as the rare. It deals a lot of damage and has 4 attack to avoid Forcefield. However, 9 mana is a lot and cards in that mana range are also very strong. It will see play but it's not a necessary card to have.
I do like her with Conqueror Jacek. A single point of armor neutralizes a lot of damage from Delya, especially with Repair. The added Piercing, plus Scattershot to have 2 chances per round to hit monsters that might have lower HP, make her much better. Plus, the extra speed means it's even harder to hit her. It sucks that the best summoner for Delya will rotate out of Modern before she does. For Wild, Yodin will also like her.
In her favor, she looks good against Night Stalker with the high speed, Dodge and Backfire. But with the mana difference, it won't be often they will face each other.
Conclusion: Night Stalker will be very important, close to must have. Delya will be powerful in certain situations but more of a nice to have.
