Being a parent is not an easy task, but being a single parent is a special mission.
Our Tziki has passed the test so far, she takes good care of her cubs even though she is often outside due to high temperatures.
Completely understandable and justified, her fur is already enough by itself, and when you add four more tiny fur balls that surround her from all sides as soon as she appears, I can't blame her for the occasional escape. Most of the time, she seeks a cool refuge on the bricks in front of the house, there she chills, cuddles, and keeps an eye on the door so she doesn't miss any food.
Although she seems carefree, she is constantly on guard, much more so than before the birth.
A couple of males are still hanging around the yard, but she gets rid of them without any problems, who would have thought that such a small body hides so much power. It seems to me that if we weighed her and compared her to the kittens, they would measure the same.
The moment she realizes she's not going to get another extra portion of food, we get this.
Coming back to try one more time, with a wistful look, mostly we fall for it, as like I said, being single parent to the four of them is a tough.
All cats after a delicious meal, yawning and looking for a place to curl up, brick doesn't sound like a good idea now.
Perhaps grass would feel better, it's comfy, it cools down, it offers occasional snacks like butterflies and grasshoppers, all she needs before short nap and going back to the motherhood.
