Before the New Year's festivities, we spent some time close to the mountainous area. Glades and fields can be found scattered among rolling slopes covered in thick forests. While I was working in the profession, I spent a lot of time in the field in areas like this. That's what I'm missing right now. At least a few weeks spent in the wild. Nothing like where I now reside, which is in a plain with endless arable land and where the horizon is a distinct, straight line separating the sky and the earth.

Unusually warm and dry weather that was great for walks through the forest suited us well.

The only signs of the season were dead grass and scattered leaves.

On one such leaf I found strange hairy balls that I have no idea what they could represent.

I'm hoping that this year (before summer) we'll travel somewhere for a two-week holiday and go camping in the stunning areas of our country. Preferably, we would travel to several locations while only spending a short time in each.
