This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Title: Ice crystal mushrooms
Only certain types of mushrooms can be found during cold winter mornings. One of the most common species is the oyster mushroom. They can be found mostly growing around poplar stumps.
The mornings are getting colder with the regular appearance of frost. This time, during the morning walk, I noticed frozen mushrooms and ice crystals on them that look like sugar in crystal.
Tiny ice crystals evenly distributed on the surface of the caps sparkle on a cold and sunny morning.
Hungry from the long walk, for a moment I thought that instead of mushrooms, warm pastries were sprinkled with sugar.
