Title: Cycling to the neighboring village
Before hopping on our bikes and setting off, we had to wait for the wind to calm down and the temperature to rise above 10 degrees Celsius. After a mild January, February turned freezing. Finally, the days and nights of strong winds and ice are almost behind us. A warm period is anticipated over the next 10 days, making it perfect for short trips like today's.
We headed to the neighboring village to visit a beautifully landscaped lake. There are ten kilometers to the final destination, so we took a short break next to the former clay mine that has been transformed into a shooting range. a place where hunters practice shooting at flying objects.
In the distance, a lone man was gathering grass clippings from a field.
We discovered the lake was still partially frozen when we arrived.
To be honest, I expected to see more wild ducks when we arrived at the lake, but when we arrived, there were just three ducks floating in the middle of the lake where there was no ice.
We walked around the lake and sat on a bench to enjoy the view.
I spotted a feather on the ice.
On the way back, the wind picked up, so we drove hurriedly. We only stopped to take a photo of a huge tractor plowing an endless field.
