The flowering of Elderberry plant usually starts at the end of April and early May, when the inflorescences start opening. Elderberry flowers and berries are edible. The flowers are used to make drinking syrup. The best time for harvesting is when they have the most pollen. It is recommended to pick flowers far from the impact of traffic and other pollutants. The main reason for that is the use of fresh flowers for syrup preparation.
On a sunny day, some of the seeds from the dandelion's round ball have been dispersed by the wind all through the park. The dandelion's flowers, leaves, and roots are used in traditional medicine and for for preparing food.
Another wild edible plant that is widespread in nature and is grown in yards is chives.
Great globe thistle grows along the bike path towards the nearby town. The perennial plant that has cylindrical flowers that ripe into antennas that hold seeds. The seeds are then dispersed around with the wind.
I periodically pass the front of the house, which is decorated with garden cosmos flowers. These blossoms are merely a tiny portion of the exquisitely landscaped lawn and backyard that are covered in flowers, plants, and trees.
The patio behind my house is decorated with this and about twenty other colorful roses.
