And I'm very grateful for your time spent on writing this comment. I've never thought of alcohol this way. When I mentioned that I am not in favor of selling alcohol now, what I meant was essentially that these days, many people in the city are carrying weapons, others are very stressed, some are quite aggressive, and also there are honestly just mere alcoholics. Imagining all of those people drunk (and potentially conflicting) makes me a bit scared. But I agree that it might be a sort of coping mechanism for some people and also a chemically helpful substance.
