Good Morning
For some reason, the morning was a bit low on charge for me. Must be because of my lack of focus on gratitude and appreciation today. But anyway, I started counting my blessings and there I was, back with my energy.
Today’s regime was to focus on my core, but I ended up doing abs. No problem, I will get on with the core tomorrow.
So, let’s see what I did today.
But first, let’s have a look at yesterday evening. Here we go. My daughter and I did the shorter version of the evening regime, and we are now alternating the longer and shorter version every day.
Here's the shorter one:
- Warm-up: About three minutes
- Suicide drill: 3 sets
- Shuttle run: 1 set with 4 reps
- Dynamic abdominal plank: 45-seconds
- Burpees: 10 (This was crazy tiring)
- Side planks: 30-seconds each side
- Rock-climbing: 45-seconds
- Reverse cycling: 30-seconds
- Reverse row-hold: 30-seconds
- Langdi – few minutes
Did you know that the above version was something I picked up from Chrisheria’s channel on YouTube? The channel’s name is Officialthenx. Check it out. The interesting reason I am mentioning this here is that Chris asks us to do three supersets of all the above (barring, the Langdi 😊) and even within each, he does 20 burpees… Phew. My daughter and I are only doing one superset and about 10 burpees. We are getting there. 😊
As far as Langdi is concerned, it is our fun addition but still helps me practice balance and strengthening my thighs and calves. You can check out more about Langdi.
Now, coming to the morning schedule, I did triplets for abs today. This is just the third time I am doing abs in the past three months, so I am happy with the regime.
- 1-set crunches
- 1-set reverse crunches
- 1-set lats
I did six triplets, and for each set, the type of exercise changed. Since I have been focusing on planks for a long time, the abs come out smooth. The only thing is to get those eight packs now. I can sense the fat over my abs and back melting away, and that keeps me inspired. Eight packs – here I come! 😊
Namaste! 😊
And I wish you a lovely day!

Did You Know?
George Hood of the US holds the record for abdominal planks. The record stands at 10 hours 10 minutes. The previous record-holder was Mao Weidong of China, who held the plank position for 8 hours and 1 minute.
Phew, even the previous record-holder wasn’t bad, in my opinion. My longest plank so far has been for two-and-a-half-minute. That’s tiny in comparison to the record holders.
What was your best abdominal planks time?
Let me know in the comments.😊
