Hi Mages,
In this video, I’m taking on the CPU on medium difficulty. Hard? I still haven’t beaten it once. I may have taken its training a little too seriously… although taking a closer look at my own strategy might also explain a few things. For now, I’m blaming the CPU. 😉
Welcome to The Line, the direct 1v1 Tower Wars mode in Mage Wars, the multiplayer side of The Fallen Mages.
This thirty-second preview takes you from the homepage straight into the arena. The portal opens, the first towers go down, and suddenly there are several decisions competing for your attention.
Build a defense that makes every shot count. Tower placement shapes the routes ground units take through your line. A clever layout can keep enemies under fire longer, but you also need the right towers to handle what’s coming.
Send units and make your opponent react. Every send puts pressure on their defenses while increasing your recurring income. That early investment can fund stronger attacks later—provided your own line survives the response.
Research gives your strategy direction. Unlock additional tower paths, choose your options, and invest in upgrades that suit your plan. A useful improvement at the right moment can change the next exchange.
And don’t forget to watch the enemy’s line. In the video, I switch across to check whether my units are getting through. Their defense tells me something about what to try next.
The pressure comes from managing attack and defense simultaneously. Gold spent securing one weak spot could also have funded another send. Your opponent is making those decisions too.
I’d love to build a community of regular players who experiment with strategies, share feedback, and keep coming back for another duel.
