This article is about a frustrating experience from one of our previous trips, when I found the VIP subway seats to be way too expensive compared with the regular seats, which left both my child and me pretty unhappy.

But a couple of days ago, I found out that the regular seats actually cost 35 yuan, not the 10 yuan I had thought. Looking at it that way, the VIP seats don’t seem all that expensive after all, so I’m no longer upset about it. 😄

And that got me thinking: what really determines our mood?
