I want to share with you a story of a case that happened to me about 12 years ago, in my country Venezuela.

One morning I woke up with a concern, I wanted to buy my own car, I had some money saved, around 3,000,000 Bs, so I could not buy a car with that, suddenly I started reading the newspaper and in the classifieds I could see a Announcement that said "We financed your car" called me a lot of attention and I started to investigate a little more about that.

After a few days, some friends tell me that they read the same Announcement the newspaper and they went to the offices of the company that the public the Announcement to know what is the process , they received them in a very special way, and they told them that it was the business which was the following:

They had 3 models of Vehicles whose approximate value in the market were; 25,000,000 Bs, 35,000,000 Bs and 50,000,000 Bs, which could be financed to the buyer and payable in 5 years with a percentage of profit for the company of 24%, requesting an initial of 4,000,000 Bs, for the vehicle economic leaving the quotas at 450,000 bs per month.

From my point of view I found it very attractive because with these fees I could agree to buy the car, so I went to that company and managed to make the contract with those people, I borrowed 1,000,000 Bs that I was missing and delivered the initial of 4,000,000 Bs. Finally they tell me that in 15 days they would give me the car since it would take time to do the administrative process.

After about 12 days, I was anxious to have already the keys of that longed for vehicle, when suddenly I received a call from a friend and his voice was totally broken (he had also made the contract to acquire his vehicle in the same company), telling me that the company in which we trusted had cheated us, I was shocked and I began to tremble with nerves trying to understand that my savings had vanished in the blink of an eye and at that moment I went to the offices of that financing company.

When I arrived at the site I only got empty offices, I talked to the guards and some policeman who were on the site to find out what had happened to the people who worked there and it turns out that they had left with the money of many people who had already delivered the initial of their vehicles without having delivered anything.

Finally we made the complaint in the police and they conducted the investigation where it was concluded that this group of people were scammers, the number of people who had been swindled was very large.
