Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Technology is no doubt a powerful tool and can be used to do both good and bad, but lately we can all agree that the power of technology is used to commit more crimes than actual good. Those days the only way we get to lose our valuables is when we come in contact with robbers or there is a break-in, but lately, thanks to technology, we can easily lose our valuables both online and offline. Scammers are now rampant on social media platforms, hackers are everywhere, and all they need is a little access to your device, and from there they can wipe or take all the valuables they can find on your phone, laptop, or computer.

With how our world has evolved and how far we have come, we owe it all to the technology, from the days of letters to the days of telephones, then we moved to mobile phones, where there was no Internet connection, but they still served as a better means of communication. Then we moved to the present days of smartphones that give us access to the Internet and access to so many things, some of which are good but can also be used to cause havoc. Everyday technology worked round the clock to ensure that we as humans enjoy comfort and get things done with ease, but while doing so, tools that can be used to wreak havoc were manufactured too.

Technology is a very powerful tool, and in the wrong hands it can be a weapon of mass destruction. Forget about the advantages technology has provided us with; it can also be the complete opposite of what we think if used wrongly or in the hands of the wrong user. Many people are grateful for smartphones, laptops, and computers for the fact that they can use them to make money from home, get schoolwork done, and get office work done, but for many, they use the same smartphones, computers, and laptops for hacking into other people's privacy; others use them for scams. There are many people out there using technological devices for the wrong things.

Technology is a two-way thing (both good and bad), and how it is used depends on the individual making use of it, which is why I think there should be laws around technology, and what one plans to use a technological device for should be known before it is sold to them. Also, though it might sound like invading one's privacy, from time to time a government agency checks up on users to see what they are actually using technological devices for.
