I welcome you to my blog. Trust me, as a kid growing up, if someone told me a time would come when I would go months and years without playing any game, I would have argued it, but today I go months without even playing a single game. I met my childhood friend yesterday after 14 years, and all we talked about was the days when we would gather to play Sega, going from Mortal Kombat to Contra 4, then to Sonic and even Super Mario. All these games kept us busy as kids, and we could not go a day without playing them. Back then, it felt like our lives revolved around these games, and we were very okay with it.
Now life got really busy, and slowly the love for games slipped away, and now I don't even find games interesting anymore. I am not a boring person because whenever I tell people I don't play games, they automatically conclude that I am a boring person, but I am not. I just don't find games as interesting as I used to find them. Even kids in my neighborhood will plead with me to play games on my phone, but then I have none, and then they ask why and what I do with my phone if I don't have any games, and if I ever get bored and, if I do, what I do to stay busy.
The truth is that I am hardly bored, especially with my type of work. I am very busy, and sometimes I tend to forget that I have a phone lately. I love games, but I just don't find them interesting anymore. Even when I heard about play-to-earn games, the fact that they are play-to-earn and I can make money while having fun still did not move me like that, but the play-to-earn aspect did pique my interest, and I tried to learn it, but along the line, I lost interest since I was not really understanding what the game was all about.
On the Hive platform, one game that intrigued me was Splinterlands. I kept asking questions and commenting on posts but did not get any positive response. I tried to figure it out on my own, but in the end, I still had to let it go. But every day, I admire Splinterlands players who share their achievements and collectibles here on Hive. So, Splinterlands is that game on Hive that really interests me, and I admire all the players, especially for how they understand the system I could not understand.
