#FREEDOM
Today we have different categories of freedom you could think of.
-FREEDOM OF SPEECH: The freedom that enables one to articulate his/her opinions and ideas without the fear of retaliation, or sanction.
-FREEDOM OF RELIGION: The ability for one to manifest his/her religion or belief in worship, preaching, teaching in the private or public.
And I believe we have more freedoms that I could not mention here. But am here to present a great freedom that is above all other freedoms.
THE FREEDOM OF THE SOUL
It is the tendency of the soul and spirit to long for freedom, longing to be free.
The desire for freedom all started in the ancient stories of the Arabic and Hebrews. The Arabic and Hebrew scripture made us understand that when God created Adam, he has to command the spirit to enter into the body of Adam made of clay and water. But the spirit refused to yield to the commandment of dwelling in a dark prison. Imagine a spirit that has always be free to dwell anywhere without bondage, without any barrier. And it refuses to be a captive of that body.
But the angels in heaven were instructed by God to sing, and when they sand, behold the spirit fell into ecstasy, therefore, it was intoxicated by the beauty of the song, and never knew where it was going. Therefore it went and entered the required place. Adam opened his eyes and find out that the spirit was there, and Adam was alive.
But this entry seems to have been the cause of all tragedies of life we see today. You mays say how? But I will tell you that from the poor to the rich, from the most educated down to the illiterate, there has always remained this grudge.
Some may confess it while some may bear it. But the grudges remain in everyone's mind.
And this tragedy is that man's spirit can never be satisfied in life journey, there cannot be happiness as long as that soul stays in it.
But if you may ask someone beside you, that what are his challenges right now or what his problem is, or what is the cause of his life tragedies, he may want to tell you that Oh! I am very poor and am without any resources, I need money, am so unhappy. Another may tell you that Oh! my friend, I have got everything but I want good health, some may say, i don't have peace of mind but I have everything. Am longing to achieve a big purpose in life, without that am not a happy man.
And if I decide today to give all required needs a man needs in his life to him, maybe giving money to those that need money, giving shelter to those that need shelter and giving a beautiful home to those who long for that. Trust me, it would be only for that moment and that period of time. Then after some period of time, he would again feel hungry for an unknown desire.
Then he says to himself, what else do I really want? And he gets a reply, ''you're so so unhappy''
This is how itis all through the journey of mankind. A man runs after the things which are not his natural desire of his soul.
Christ teaches us the true reality of eternal life. The true desire of the soul is to live, which is also the life of a real man.
The moral lesson we must have learned from here today is how to swim and prevent ourselves from sinking in the flood of death or mortality.
LOVE
Love to me, I'll say is dying for someone.
When a mother is having a food or a fruit or something sweet in her hands, and her little child walks down to her and says mummy will you give it to me? Although the mother should have enjoyed eating it and gain some pleasure, she gives it to the child. The eating of it by the child is the pleasure gained by the mother. That is love.Enjoying your life in the joy of another.
ENJOYING YOUR LIFE IN THE JOY OF ANOTHER
Those people who rejoice in the joy of others, though at their own expense, they've taken the first step towards true love.
If we are happy by giving others a good coat, which we would have liked to wear and look good as well, if we enjoy that, we are on the first step of love.
If we enjoy a beautiful a lot that we long to get, then after getting it, and then give that joy to another person, and enjoying it through the experience of that person. Then we are true definition of love
