Panning the camera on candles and a big plasma ball. As simple as these may seen it actually takes quite a bit of setup to get them perfectly aligned. Distance to the camera defines how curved the trails will be. On this first one the plasma is near and the candles far.
These have the candles closer. They are inside an infinity box (cube made of 2-sided mirrors) and panned multiple times at different tilts.
And here adding a few tilts to the mix to create a fire weave.
