Somehow, I missed the swallowtails flying about this year, but they did leave offspring as evidence of their presence, seven caterpillars to be precise. Here are photos of three of them:
These big caterpillars were sitting on some fennel and looked healthy, so maybe next year we'll have a chance to see the butterflies they will try to morph into.
