I use an Olympus Stylus 1s for almost all of my photography, as it covers most of my requirements and is small enough to have with me whenever I go outside.
It has a macro mode, which is fixed at 42mm eq. (love the engineers that chose 42mm), but the results are, of course, not as good as when using, for instance, a big Nikon with the superlative Nikon 200mm f/4 AF-D Micro lens.
I don't mind that much, as I mostly shoot semi-macro; I like a bit of context and composition around the plants and critters I photograph.
I did, of course, have a go to see how far it would take me. This is a 1:1 pixel crop of a photo of a dragonfly's head I made with my trusty little Olympus:

Not bad at all for a small bridge camera, I think. No reason at least to start carrying around the bulky equipment all the time again.
Thanks for watching!
