This is the reddest dragonfly in The Netherlands, called broad scarlet (Crocothemis erythraea), vuurlibel in Dutch.
I saw this one two days ago, and it was easy to identify, as it is the only dragonfly species here of which all bits are red: body, face, legs, and eyes; even the leading edges and the bases of the wings are red.
I especially like that first photo; it's not often that this species poses patiently for me against just the right (traditional-complementary) background colour.
