Yeah, I know the sweaty hand on a digital tablet problem all too well. Luckily for me the smudge guard that you're showing the photo is enough for me as I don't sweat through it. Aren't there old style smudge guards made out of leather? I guess you could also sweat through that but it may be worth a try.
