That's a deep question. One that I have been pondering, more so recently due to the things happening, I guess.
Not too long ago I would have answered without hesitation 'yes', with one caveat - not havng children of my own. That is probably the one thing that I regret, not having children of my own and being able to pass on my own experiences to them. A thought that I am used to pushing away because it hurts and there is nothing I can do.
Despite this, I am still content and happy with my life thus far. I have always said (to anyone who wants to or does not want to hear it) - if you don't like where you're at, change it. It is within you to change. Change yourself or change your environment.
Lately, I have come to think that I am also missing deeper connections, apart from my hubs. I have friends, but they are far away, timezones away which is not a dealbreaker overall but it does make things more difficult.
I don't know (or want to guess) about the future, too many variables. Let's assume nothing goes wrong in the global political climate - personally, I am really longing for community which is a very human thing. Humans are herd animals, we live in community. Humans in isolation usually do not do so well, at least not over a long period of time. I think it is one thing I value in blogging - connection to other bloggers.
In many of your blogposts or comments you mentioned that Earth is doomed - and it may well be, I sometimes really want to stick my head into the sand and not listen to all the politics (especially now with the US elections looming upon us). But at the same time - where would we be without politicians? The structure and organization they bring/brought? Shouldn't we all try harder to be doing a bit more for all of us?
Okay, what was your question again? 😁 - Well, I think I answered it. Past = happy present = pretty happy future = who the f* knows, right?! Some of it is in our own making but a lot of it is not.
Cheers,
GalenKP - happy Sunday to Oz!
