OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 431st compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

[ENG/ESP] Should we consume magnesium? / ¿Debemos consumir magnesio?

Intensive agriculture to produce massive quantities of agricultural products has resulted in the indiscriminate use of fertilizers, pesticides, deforestation, logging and soil erosion, eliminating crop rotation and the microbiota so necessary for the fermentation of organic residues.

😴Insomnio, Pesadillas y Parálisis del Sueño😪 [ESP/ENG]

Over the years I got used to them and it has even become an inside joke in my family, because whenever I tell them "you don't know what I dreamt" they automatically say "do I have to call the loony bin or Hollywood?" because the truth is, one is weirder than the other and, for some strange reason, I always remember them with an impressive clarity.

Hablemos de hijos primogénitos (Part 2)

On this occasion, the approach to the subject will be from the approach to the reality of the first child before and during the arrival of one or more siblings. This is an issue that deserves all the attention because it is often a flashpoint for families all over the planet, especially for parents who are responsible for the care of their children. Not to mention the first-born children who after receiving the exclusive attention will now become older siblings.

Fear, a feeling that paralyzes or makes you take action | Emotions [ES-ENG]

Some time ago I had no idea that fear can have positive aspects in life, I saw it as that emotion that terrifies us, makes us feel insecure, weak, and often incapable.

After following a scholar of human behavior, I managed to understand that there is also another reaction of fear, it leads us to action, in fact, naturally when feeling fear the body receives an alert but the reaction is not always the same in all people or circumstances, sometimes we are paralyzed or we take action.

What challenges do you find difficult when it comes to innovating or pushing yourself? Contest #72 ✨ [EN-ENG]

My biggest challenge that I find right now to innovate and push myself are my limiting beliefs, I know that I have a lot of ingrained beliefs in me that it is difficult for me to gain momentum to get the things I want for my life, this year I decided to work on all those beliefs that do not let me overcome and change my mentality, to achieve such a thing I have to educate myself and for that the first step is to unlearn and then learn things that help me to innovate as a person.

GUNS AND GARDENS AND GRANDPA

A bark resounded across the valley. "Baboons!" barked the old man, fumbling for his rifle. "Are you going to shoot the baboons Oupa?" My eldest asked his grandfather "No, I'm going to invite them to a tea party!" came another barked reply. The rifle hovered for far too long in the direction of the raiding baboons. Then an explosion filled the air. Followed by barks among the confused baboons from a dozen different places. Then they disappeared. But in no alarmed hurry. I'm sure one of them flashed the middle finger at the obnoxious old man. "Oupa I don't think you hit any" The voice rang out; "Why do you always miss?" Before another sarcastic response could erupt from my father-in-law I grabbed the children and, like the baboons, we disappeared back to our own house.

Community: Market Friday

West Side Market, Cleveland, Ohio

I had no idea what I was in for, thinking it was just a big grocery store or a few farm stands.

It was sort of that, but in a way more impressive way. It had the feel of an open market with the shelter of a roof!
Which was good since it was a very cloudy, rainy day.

DreemPort 6 Week Challenge | My Progress on Week #1

To be honest, this year I already started working on this particular ability/goal, however it's been hard to follow. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for me to get the motivation and courage I need.

Why courage, do you ask, dear reader? Just keep on reading to find that out 😉
I say ability because I don't consider it a talent of mine per si. But I guess you could look at it from that perspective. Playing an instrument was always a fascinating idea to me. The frustration that comes from trying to learn it, well - not so much.
