OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1377th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Weekend barbecue with my family: WEEK 176

As those who read my posts will know, I spend almost every week away from home and, therefore, eating away from home. That's why, on weekends, I love to be able to eat at home with my family, homemade food prepared by myself. At the same time, eating with my family is mentally healthier than eating alone, as I do most of the time when I am away from home for work.

This weekend, on the occasion of the visit of some relatives from Madrid to my house, yesterday we improvised a barbecue in which I was the chef. My whole family asks me to prepare a barbecue for them at these kinds of family gatherings because I'm very good at cooking with charcoal embers.

Weekend engagement Week #176: Romantic night at the disco

The day arrived and we went there accompanied by my mother-in-law's sister and some friends, the entrance only costed 100 pesos... not bad, in other places where they offer a show at night they charge much more... the place as its name indicates is full of very beautiful Egyptian drawings with lights of all colors that give it a special 👌 touch.

Comprando melones//Nuevo reto semana 21 (Esp/Eng)

I tell you that I go to several places to buy vegetables and fruits in my city, but the one that is easy to go to and I trust the quality of their products, since they are fresh is this place known as La Colonial, I love to go there, because I find different types of fresh fruits and vegetables, so taking advantage of the fact that I was going to do my shopping I bought a melon to participate in this challenge.

Melon is known as the fruit of the summer, it is very nutritious and beneficial; it is also sweet and very refreshing, since it has a high water content. With this fruit we can prepare different recipes, but I particularly like to eat it raw, in salads or in smoothies.

BeerSaturday 329 - Scotch Ale (Beauregard)

The microbrewery Beauregard was founded in 2018 by two brothers Jonathan and Sébastien Coutu in Montreal specializing in dark beers, stout and porter, with the aim of making as many people as possible appreciate this type of beer. I've tasted many of this brewery's beers, as I really like dark beers, but it wasn't always a success, see Irish Red or the Dark Mild.

The hike that exceeded expectations

It's the weekend again, and, of course, I am back to the great outdoors. This time, we are going to explore new trails with the help of different topography and heat maps by James and Alton, who are the ones that can understand different signs and details on the map, alongside @/mariasalve and Spencer. I am not afraid to get lost on the trail when they're leading. Haha

Weekend Experiences - Go to Moon Beach Cafe on Lhoknga Beach with friends

Throughout the journey, my brain kept thinking about the beauty of the natural scenery on the beach that I would visit with my friends this afternoon. When I arrived at the Moon Beach cafe, I was immediately greeted with a very beautiful sunset view.

Let's make fresh coffee powder at home through coffee harvesting.

Good evening, Hive friends! How are you all doing? Today, I want to share a unique experience with you – the process of making my own coffee powder from the coffee harvest of several coffee trees around my house. Cultivating a few coffee plants at home has been a truly rewarding and enriching experience, especially considering the space available around my residence. To grow coffee plants successfully, it's essential to provide them with the right conditions. They thrive in a warm, tropical climate, requiring consistent moisture, well-drained soil, and filtered sunlight. However, growing coffee at home demands patience as it takes several years for the coffee plants to mature and produce cherries. This endeavor requires time and dedication, making it a labor of love rather than a quick and preferred option.

I'm here…

I am not a woman warrior, because I have nothing to gain, I got tired of the discourse of the phrase "fight against cancer", because that weakens us and imposes additional pressure, it is better to accompany in silence, and to be listened to about our fears of death, not being cared for, pain, being a burden, the orphanhood of our children among other things…

Those of us who have lived through cancer sometimes need to remember what we were like before treatment, myself included, so as not to forget that "we are not a disease", but people who have lived or are living through a disease. And we also need to integrate irreversible changes in the way we live and feel, which transforms them and takes us to a different life perspective than we had before going through the disease.

Visitando Rancho bonito por el cumpleaños 60 de mi papá [ESP - ENG]

Today I want to share with you my experience at Rancho Bonito restaurant in San Cristobal. Last Thursday, October 19, my dad celebrated his 60th birthday and I wanted to take him to a nice and pleasant place to have lunch and spend a good afternoon. I came across the advertisement of this place on Instagram and because of its good reputation I decided to take him there.

Living the unexpected

I wanted to wake up early, with the crowing of the rooster (cantío del gallo), as the peasants (guajiros) say, to clean some shelves and my closet, to take out things I don't use, to organize my life a little. This would take me two hours or maybe less and then, my plan was supreme: order a delicious meal and a pot of chocolate ice cream, which would be brought to my doorstep. I wanted to give me that gift.

So, in that wonderful contemplative state, I would write the post for Weekend Experiences. And what happened? It turns out that what made me open my eyes was a terrible headache and nausea that had me pretty bad for many hours. These are things that unfortunately happen once a month, and although it doesn't always happen with the same intensity, I can't stand these wonderful days! - Not even me!, they change my mood.
