So in the last weekend ranked, I used the control magic deck that I posted about in my last post, and I was able to get 14/25 wins which is pretty nice although I could have gotten better to be honest. Now after getting the 14 wins on Sunday, I was a little bit short on time to get the rest of the 16 wins for the "What a Mortal" price pack, but I tried anyway as much as possible.

In todays video, we try to make the cheapest one turn kill magic deck using the schoolteacher combo. I had previously made a working deck that used the Surpasing Blast (1 cost 2 damage to god card) which was a good replacement for the Form of Power that we don't currently own. After the balance update they made the surpasing blast only target creatures so I went back to the drawing board to make a deck that was much cheaper and still works for a OTK on turn 6 to 7 if you get all the pieces together.

So as you all know that I love playing control magic a lot nowadays and it's been my got to deck for a while now, I was thinking about how the meta always shift towards 1 or 2 decks that dominates the game and what might they be this week. However, I could not come up with one deck that will be so present this and have a huge use rate. I would expect to still see some aggro nature since it is still viable, some deception is also possible as well as anubian decks that are annoying for control.

I am happy. I can't be less than that. I went back to Mythic, stayed there in the weekend event, and got 13 wins which, for me, is worth gold. Considering my results in previous weeks, I'm satisfied for now.

Recently in a blog post, it was mentioned that the developers are aware that the player who goes first often wins the game or has a significant advantage in the overall match. They are looking at ways to lessen this advantage and I wanted to hypothesize a few changes they could make to help this. For those that do not know, the first turn is coin flip and you could have three games in a row going first or none just based on luck.
