Dandelion, spring flower, who during the first sunny spring day, it begins to flower, can be found on almost all green outdoors: meadows, pastures, and the side of the road or even in our gardens.
Dandelion is a wild plant that does not need to be planted, grows in different conditions and does not require special care.
Unfortunately, many people may not know this or simply consider it a weed that needs to be removed, but they are not aware of how medicinal this plant actually is and can have a positive effect on health.
It is interesting that all its parts can be used from this plant.
It is best to harvest this plant somewhere on pastures or meadows, where it is much cleaner than by the roadside or in the park.
When the plants are young, their leaves are used fresh as an addition to a salad, squeezed porridge juice or as a sauce for some pasta.
This famous plant can be dried for tea or made into jam, and even unopened buds of the plant can be prepared as sour as winter.
So from dandelions you can get a range of food products from lettuce to winter.
Dandelion is rich in minerals and vitamins, it contains C, A, E and some of the B vitamins. As for minerals, it contains magnesium, calcium and iron.
Although some parts of this plant can be bitter, if harvested in time it means when the plant is young its leaves used as a salad are not bitter, and the root of the plant that can be used in food or as dried used for tea reminds to taste mushrooms.
And if it is bitter, or contains bitterness, the very bitter substances that it contains give it a diuretic effect.
HOW IT WORKS ON THE ORGANISM AND WHAT IT TREATS:
- Dandelion tea works well against kidney problems, stimulates water in the body, which means that it has a positive effect against obesity and cellulite.
- It helps people who have anemia.
- Regulates blood fat.
- Regulates high blood sugar.
- It is equally good against stress and headaches.
Dandelion is one of the rare medicinal plants in which all parts of the plant are used, unfortunately many bypass it and consider it a weed. In addition to its medicinal properties, this plant attracts insects such as bees due to its bright yellow color, so if it is in your garden, other plants will thrive, because bees are the best pollinators of plants.
