I would like to say they come a time in every man's life that he or she acknowledges getting older and must stop going through or trying to do stuff meant for younger ones, I don't know If you reading this post to understand where I am going. what I am saying is this, Ronaldo should by now be talking of retirement from football maybe taking some other football jobs like a manager, assistant coach, or even owning a club or a training school.
this was the same thing that made him terminate his contract with Manchester United and also not on good terms with Manchester United coach Ten Hag. and even Santos Portugal's coach is doing the same thing to Ronaldo why? it is because coaches know he is no longer the Ronaldo of 19, 23, or 30 he is 37 years old and shouldn't see himself as a young boy he is getting old though he still got the strength no doubt I feel he should not be ready to be in the field from the first half to second half.
at least Santos is not a young coach he has been in the job for some time now and he knows the big role Ronaldo plays in the national team if he still decides to bench him he has good reasons Ronaldo should not pick offense. I know he is a very influential personality he should also know many young players look up to him he shouldn't give them a wrong impression and ruin his last days in the field.
He sees himself as fit and strong but coaches won't they will always think that he is getting old and can't perform 💯 the way he use to while still very young. he has broken so many records and I suggest he get to rest the earliest rather than getting himself a lifetime injury. he will not and must not reign forever he should focus on making his kid better than him, and he should also give way for more talent to come through.
