Hi everyone, how are we all doing?
I hope all is going on very well with us?
Here comes another moment where I get to sing and participate in this musical festival that takes place weekly in this community.
In this new week of this festival, I'd love to chip in something quickly.
If we'd recall, I remembered mentioning something about election and that it's time for Nigeria to decide on who rules us next as our president.
Finally, the elections are here, and it started since last Saturday which is the presidential election and the national assembly elections.
Before this elections came, the independent national electoral commission gave a budget of 405 billion naira to make sure that the people get free, fair and transparent election.
The body even brought an idea of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machine to ensure that we don't experience one major problem that surfaces anytime Nigeria is holding elections which is election rigging.
We have four major candidates for this seat of power and it started well on Saturday until we started hearing news of how thugs disrupted and disenfranchised the voters.
This is really sad because the security operatives deployed to carry out their duties failed woefully and they seemed to be compromised.
The most painful part is that as it stands, our votes were not valued and it really didn't count because the idea of using the BVAS was discarded along the line...
Oh, what a country where the rich has more say than the poor.
A country where people no longer have rights anymore.
Even our rights to vote and choose a leader has been taken from us.
Well, I hope God intervene at this juncture because tension is building up in the nation.
What I love best is to do music, which is why I'm passing this message musically in my entry this week.

Aqu铆 viene otro momento en el que puedo cantar y participar en este festival musical que se lleva a cabo semanalmente en esta comunidad.
En esta nueva semana de este festival, me encantar铆a aportar algo r谩pidamente.
Si recordamos, record茅 haber mencionado algo sobre las elecciones y que es hora de que Nigeria decida qui茅n nos gobierna a continuaci贸n como nuestro presidente.
Finalmente, las elecciones est谩n aqu铆, y comenzaron desde el s谩bado pasado que es la elecci贸n presidencial y las elecciones a la asamblea nacional.
Antes de que llegaran estas elecciones, la comisi贸n electoral nacional independiente otorg贸 un presupuesto de 405 mil millones de nairas para garantizar que la gente tenga elecciones libres, justas y transparentes.
El organismo incluso present贸 una idea de la m谩quina del Sistema Bimodal de Acreditaci贸n de Votantes (BVAS) para garantizar que no experimentemos un problema importante que surja cada vez que Nigeria celebra elecciones, que es el fraude electoral.
Tenemos cuatro candidatos principales para este puesto de poder y comenz贸 bien el s谩bado hasta que comenzamos a escuchar noticias de c贸mo los matones interrumpieron y privaron de sus derechos a los votantes.
Esto es realmente triste porque los operativos de seguridad desplegados para llevar a cabo sus funciones fallaron lamentablemente y parec铆an estar comprometidos.
Lo m谩s doloroso es que tal como est谩, nuestros votos no fueron valorados y realmente no contaron porque la idea de usar el BVAS se descart贸 en la l铆nea...
Oh, qu茅 pa铆s donde los ricos tienen m谩s que decir que los pobres.
Un pa铆s donde la gente ya no tiene derechos.
Incluso nuestros derechos de votar y elegir un l铆der nos han sido arrebatados.
Bueno, espero que Dios intervenga en esta coyuntura porque la tensi贸n se est谩 acumulando en la naci贸n.
Lo que m谩s me gusta es hacer m煤sica, por eso estoy pasando este mensaje musicalmente en mi entrada de esta semana.
