This year Hari Raya I was on duty on the first day of Hari Raya. Well I'm okay with it as I'm giving chance to my Muslim colleagues to celebrate their festivals. It is normal for the people who workplace has to do overtime on weekends by rotation schedule.
Well, suppose I go back to my husband's hometown, Tenom to celebrate Hari Raya with his sister's family as they are celebrating it, but due to work I have to stay back in K.K. They do understand that it is because of work I have to absent this year. They post their gathering photo in Whatsapp. Look at the picture below. Although this year there were only few people gathered in the family due to working far from Sabah, the spirit of the celebration still can be felt.
While here in K.K with my family, we had a last minute planned for a BBQ gathering at my sister's house, that was just in front of my house. We started at 5pm with all the guys took the BBQ work, while the ladies prepare the plates and other dishes.
The previous night, my sister and I had baked two types of cookies that I really crave for, that is the Celerec and the Chocolate Chips. I can say the celerec cookies are so yummy. I really like the taste of milk and the softness of the cookies. My sister and I really satisfied with the cookies we made. We will try to bake more cookies for the Christmas celebration this year 😊. Apart from that, I also had bought few cookies from my friends. Hmmm...our gathering still has the aura of Hari Raya, right hehe...
The most important thing in the gathering is the chit chat among our family. This is the time we share our story whether it is a good one or not. They are the one that will always listen to you and advice you. That's what family is for, right. I'm so thankful that I had a very good and understanding family. They are the best 🤗👍. We finished our gathering at around 12 midnight, and we headed home.
The next day, we went to visit our dad at his resting place in Jalan Lintas, Luyang. As this week also is Father's Day, we visit our dad to celebrate with him and to pray for him. I really miss his presence among us at our family house, his laughter, his advice and the most important thing he is really good in leading prayer. I MISS HIM SO MUCH 😔. Anyway, I know that he is in a good place now, without any pain and burden. REST IN PEACE DADDY... WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH 😚.
Well that, was what have I done during the two days public holiday. How about you Steemian? Have you occupied your holiday with good activities? Let's share your story 😉.
