I think you should actually know someone first before you say something like this. I don't think it's okay to generalize it. It would not be okay to say Mr A is a scammer because Mr B who is from the same country as Mr A, scammed somebody.

My country has honest people just that the deeds of the bad once has overshadowed the honest ones.
