It was something that I kind of had to give up when I got married.

After my previous relationship was pretty much ruined by Anarchy Online, when I got a new girlfriend (Amanda) I was still playing but I lowered my time down dramatically. When I started to get vibes that she was getting frustrated I quit completely. I wasn't about to ruin a new relationship over it. These games are absolute time suckers.

The only way around it is if you can get your girlfriend into the game, but that is like a unicorn event. Although I do remember some couples playing together in AO and was always so jealous.

I haven't owned a console since the PS2.

We had an XBox 360 about 10 years ago that I never really played. I always loved playing PC games but funny enough the Xbox was for afturner@afturner because she liked to play the dance games on it. But those are easy enough to pick up and put down.

Last Christmas my wife bought me an XBox Series X to play with while sitting in the living room babysitting little-ricky@little-ricky. It is a really awesome machine, but one thing that drives me crazy about it is that it has so much non-game related crap on it. It can take forever just to play a game sometimes because it is always updating something, or advertising something. It's ridiculous. I wish they would just work like old consoles where you just picked a game and played it.
