Call of Duty is more of an FPS (First Person Shooter) type of game, whereas Anarchy Online is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)

In both instances you are attacking an enemy and raising your stats but MMORPGs are infinitely more complex and nuanced. I am also a fan of FPS games. I really enjoyed the Far Cry series.
