Examine the charts

20101007table.png

The ups and downs so far this month, if not predictable, have been hardly surprising. OmiseGO and Ripple have been the tokens to go up and down, while BitcoinCash (BCH) has continued its decline. In contrast Bitcoin and Ethereum have been just about holding their own or, most recently, climbing.

Not much money to be made unless you have a lot of cash (see the 7-day performance). But the prevalent green suggests tokens are being considered more and more feasible as investments: a store of value if not yet a means of exchange (too little trading).

I suggest the results to look for are in the variations between red and green on the charts and the 7-day figures. Litecoin had a difficult time earlier but has since climbed back up, most of it yesterday and today.

Most of the trading has been on Korea's Bithumb, followed by Bitfinex. The Ripple trading has been mainly in Korea. Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, too, are been significantly in won.

Interestingly, Bittrex's main trading token was in the China-focused NEO.

I saw no news developments to justify any of these movements.
