The Deeplurker is a new Chaos Legion card that helps you do opportunistic damage for a reasonable cost of 6 mana. With the new water summoner, it can be a nice way to create a high power melee attack water deck.
Stampede, Close Range - 40 Mana Cap
The close range rules could mean my opponent might use range attacks more. A good chance for a melee based water deck armed with shields to strike.
Summoner: Kelya Frendul to quicken the team and give everyone a shield boost
Position 1: The Kraken to taunt and for its high health and attack
Position 2: Furious Chicken for the buffer space
Position 3: Phantom of the Abyss for quick and high magic damage
Position 4: Ruler of the Seas to do explosive damage
Position 5: Deeplurker to pick the weakest of my enemy's cards
Position 6: Ice Pixie to do some magic damage for only 2 mana
The strategy was pretty effective as my opponent did end up using more range attackers. The most important aspect was the increased of the Kraken meant that it could evade many attacks. Unlike magic attacks, melee and range attacks are always susceptible to missing their mark.
By the third round, I had killed off most of my opponent's monsters and the Deeplurker even managed to get a kill against my opponent's Feasting Seaweed.
The battle finally ended in round 6 but it was effectively over in round 3. The combination of melee and magic attack meant that my opponent had very little ability to counter any one specific type of attack.

One reason why the battle lasted longer than it had to was because of the extra shield that my opponent had thanks to his summoner. The Deeplurker had to use 2 attacks to finish these monsters off. I could have used another melee or range attacker to also get past the shield of my opponents so that the Deeplurker wouldn't have to take 2 tries each time.
I think the Deeplurker is a card that is really powerful against summoners that don't give an extra shield. When you can do 3 damage to your opponents without having to get past their shield and at a fast speed, I think you have a winner. If you combine this with other buffs like an inspire from a Demented Shark and a Pirate Captain, you have a 5 damage killing machine.
