Decided to sell some BAT and BCH that i had lying around and convert them to steem. I was a little worried with that whole steemit inc power down issue that happened a while back but that seems to have been resolved. My bullish bias for steem now is because of two things:
Point 1 is straight forward. We're starting to see more games, gambling dApps built on steem and i'd argue that's a good thing as it brings in more folks who aren't interested in blogging into the steem world. Still early days yet and hopefully we see more of these.
Point 2 is the more exciting one in my opinion. One of the reasons for Ethereum's rise was because you could build and release your own tokens on top of it. That was also the reason for NEO's big rise up as well. But that was 2017/2018. Now, you can do so on a bunch of different coins and steem is one of them. SMTs being delayed is a bummer but steem-engine looks to have filled that void.
Everything isn't rosy with steem but there's reason to be optimistic. Since i have some spare coins lying around here and there, i think it's worth converting a little into steem. Any other coins look promising?
