One of my goals for the year is to lose some weight and to achieve that, i go for a jog in the park thrice a week. Here are some of the interesting trees and flowers along the route. They say that Singapore is a concrete jungle and for the most part, that's true. Most people stay in high-rise apartments and we don't have any land to grow crops.
That said, there's been a conscious effort to add greenery along the roads and within the housing estates.
The hardest part is getting to the starting point, which is some 500 meters away from my home. It's completely empty now but it gets real busy in the evening when a lot of my neighbors go for a walk run or cycle along the path.
Unfortunately i wasn't able to capture the tree properly with my phone. That's one of the reasons why you get an iPhone, i suppose.
Every time it rains, the grounds are littered with flowers. This morning was no exception. It's been raining a lot these past few days... in fact it's raining as i type this now as well :)
The entire route is about 1.5 km long and i do 5 - 6 laps. The trail continues towards town but also gets a lot more crowded along the way. There's also some good food to be had but i'm not a big fan of eating while sweaty lol.
