Mr. Market can be funny at times. You expect the headlines of no trade deal between the US and China to trigger a sell-off in the markets and the markets go up instead. Goes to show that trading on the news headlines isn't a sure-win proposition.
Take a look at Shanghai which is up a pretty sizable 3%. I think that has to do with the Chinese government stepping in after lunch because they were down a little and then they shot up 'bigly'.
S&P futures are showing a tiny 0.15% drop when the markets open later. This reeks of complacency and i think we do see a sell-off in July when 2Q economic indicators and company earnings are out.
