The biggest change for me now that Chaos Legion has gone live is the fact that we don't have the summoners from the original starter pack anymore. I started playing Splinterlands shortly after the change was made to not give everyone the starter pack card in their collection.
Well, that kinda sucks and to be honest, I never realized what a difference it would make owning my own summoner instead of relying on the delegated one till it was too late and the prices skyrocketed.
With no more Alric to give a +1 magic boost, the Water Splinter feels very different. No longer can you stack a Oshannus with a Ruler of the Seas and see them pretty much own everything. They also become a lot more vulnerable to Bortus as -1 magic and they only do 1 damage per round which can be dealt with void pretty easily.
So it looks like it is back to the drawing board for a lot of strategies that used to work and new cards and splinters will rise to the occasion.
