It has been a hazy couple of days here. Not sure where the haze is coming from but it's pretty bad. Can't even see the building that's opposite mine, which is less than 1 km away. Not sure where it's coming from either, since the news doesn't cover it - people just accept it.
It's funny how humans are fighting progress to keep the dirty jobs of yesteryear like coal powerplants and gas guzzling cars. There's an interesting documentary out on youtube about how the car and fossil fuel industries killed electric vehicles back in the 90s. I've worked in the O&G industry and that doesn't surprise me.
We talk about Solar and Electric Vehicles like they're some new fangled technology but way back in the late 70s, Jimmy Carter had solar panels on the white house roof. Reagan then took it down and we had to go through twelve years of anti-science. Imagine where we'd be as a species if we didn't keep taking two steps forward and one step back?
