I like epic games, not only because they are giving away free games but also because they are developer-friendly. Epic shares 88% of their revenue with the devs which is definitely a cool thing.
Now, let's cut to the chase, even though Epic had a humble beginning, we cannot deny the fact that it has many issues and bugs and Epic need to address those issues asap. A few days ago, I updated my epic app, and after updating, when I tried to log in, I couldn't. The Epic client was not letting me log in, the "login" button was greyed out.
I removed the app entirely, including all the cache data, and performed a clean install, and the issue was still persisting. I had to use "Log in with Facebook" to access my game library. Okay, that's one.
Another thing is, I just noticed that we cannot chat with friends within the Epic Games Client. This is really pathetic since all the modern game clients, including Origin, Steam, and Uplay, support communicating with friends from their respective game clients.
I tried to contact Epic Games support regarding this and this was their reply:
