ANIMALS AND THEIR NATURE
Animals are subtle creatures that walk on land, swim in the water, or are adapted to flight. There are animals which are wild and animals which are domesticated. Animals like Lions cannot be tamed because they are wild and dangerous.
On the other hand, animals like dogs and cats are domestic and are more likely to be found in almost every home because they are cute, lovable and they easily and readily learn. I once had a dog named Becky. Also, it is not all domesticated animals that are kept as pets.
Animals like cows, fowls, goats, and sheep are reared for their milk, egg, bone, wool and blood (which is used in fish feed). In places that have forests like Kenya, there are wild animals like Zebras and Lions which are killed when trespassing and are used for their skin and meat.
This has greatly reduced the number of animals in the wild. Now in water, fishes like dolphins and sharks are being hunted down for commercial uses. That is why we cannot find them in areas where they once populated.
Today, Africa’s Lions have greatly reduced in number. Even now, birds are being hunted down. And have you noticed that every now and then, most of these animals are captured just for fun and entertainment and after that are killed mercilessly?
Efforts should be made to save all these animals that are in danger of extinction because there will come a time when all these beautiful but powerful animals will be totally wiped off from the face of the Earth and none of them, not even one will be found.
As it is, some of them have all ready become extinct. So, let us rise and fight this injustice that is done against these poor animals or else, their blood will be on our hands for not doing anything to save them.
Let us stop destroying the homes of the wild animals because that would force them to be on the run constantly forcing them to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sometimes, their constant move puts them in danger because they are often found in human residence and they are often thought to bring danger with them. Therefore, they are killed.
But what people do not know is that they are the ones who truly endanger the animals and not the animals endangering them at all. Therefore, before we destroy any forests, let us reconsider what we are about to do and think about the wild animals living there. Who knows you might save important species in that area.
Also, let us stop hunting the animals in their habitats. The fishermen should stop fishing for and killing sharks, dolphins and other fishes that are important species. The hunters should stop hunting down the wild animals that live in the forests. People should stop capturing animals for their entertainment. People should stop thinking that animals are just a plaything and that their well being does not concern them.
And that is why all of us should try to come together as one and try to save the animals. That way, the animals will be safe in their homes and the wild life will be saved.
