The first week of the EPL was quite massive and it also came with some surprises. I wasn't really expecting many things that eventually happened during the week 1 matches.

At first, it was Arsenal's loss to Brentford and then Westham's comeback against Newcastle United. I was expecting that Newcastle United's match against Westham United would have been a draw with goals but it was really shocking to see Westham United scoring that much goals in an away match against Newcastle. Both teams are looking quite fine this season and I feel it's possible they both end up in the top 12.

Watford against Aston Villa was another shocking match to me. It's so rational considering what Aston Villa played in the EPL last season to think that they would either win or cease a draw against Watford but the match when south. Aston Villa started quite weak and by the time they were struggling to get back into the game, it was quite late already.

I know it's not everyone reading this that's involved with FPL but those that are very much involved, I do have a question for you.....

considering the results from Game Week 1, who would be your best option for a captain for Game Week 2?

Based on my own observations and results from the week 1 matches, I've decided to reshuffle my squad and pick out some average players with more energy at the moment. But for my captain for Game Week 2, I personally would still love to keep Bruno Fernandes as my captain since I do not have any premium player from Manchester City. I'm sure Manchester City would definitely haul this weekend but I do not have any pick from the team yet.

Let's talk about my results for Game Week 1 and I'm sure I did quite well because of the great performance from Bruno Fernandes who happened to be my captain for the game Week.

Firstly, I felt quite stupid to have kept Harry Kane in my squad knowing fully well that he's currently having some problems with his team's management. Nevertheless, I still had a beautiful result since the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Son came through for me.

I even said it earlier before the matches, I never expected much from my defense line. I knew it would be difficult for any of them to keep a clean sheet but they're all attacking defenders and so my hope was that they could eventually get themselves goal or assists, and Ayling and Cresswell did just that for me as they both scored one goal each.

Since Watford FC came up with this massive surprise, Aston Villa couldn't keep a clean sheet and I was left with Martinez earning just 2 points. I'm sure about him (Martinez) he's a very good goalkeeper and he'll definitely deliver in due time.

Sancho didn't start for Manchester United but I hope he does this weekend. Gilmour playing against Liverpool, I knew there wasn't going to be much from him but then I just had to keep him for some personal reasons.

Like I said, keeping Kane was a huge mistake but thank God Wilson came through for me by scoring an early goal for Newcastle last weekend.

I really don't know why but I hardly have good options on my bench. For the fact that Tuchel (Chelsea's Manager) used Hudson quite well in the pre-season matches and in the Super Cup final, I thought he was also going to be chanced in the league match but I guess I thought wrong and now I might have to keep him off my team for now.

Both Neco Williams and Andone were just there in my team, I knew somehow they weren't going to be featured an I only hoped for surprises and it didn't work out. I guess I have to work on investing well on my bench. At least to keep some players who are more of a started or that at least has over 60% assurance of featuring in a match.

This would be all for now. I scored 77 points while the average was 69, that's not so bad but I am looking forward to doing better!
