I've been observing almost all the news concerning the preparations going on with each team in the EPL and I feel just like last season featured some tough and new occurrences, this new season could also end in a very surprising manner.
With all the new signings at hand and the possible signings before the transfer window ends, I can only say it's really going to be very hot in the English football space in this new season.
The Face Of Manchester United.
United's last pre-season match against Everton yesterday has brought so much hype, hope, and big expectations into their box and personally as a fan I feel quite scared because one thing is to perform well in the pre-season and another thing is to perform well in the league which is the most important thing.
I think this is a revolutionary season for Manchester United and they at least have to win a trophy this season, it's not just because I feel it might affect the Manager in charge (Ole Gunner) but United is too big a team to have stayed this long without a trophy. With no doubt, I'm sure that's also affecting the club's transfer choices. Some players don't want to come around due to that fact that United doesn't or haven't kept a trophy in their shelf for some years now. But, thing are turning new..................
The match between United and Everton yesterday was not just interesting to watch alone, the match exposes the fact that United now has more competition within the team compared to last season and that's one of the beautiful thing a big team such United must have.
The attacking effort was great and the early goal from Greenwood shows how smart and calculative the young lad is. It was a 4 goals to Nil win without the likes of Rashford, Cavani, not even with Sancho and Varane yet. That was really impressive!
Now I am currently hoping United would refuse to loan out anymore players for now. They had let out Alex Tuanzebe and I am happy about that for he isn't a product for United as far as I am concerned but then, United still needs to keep Dalot so close and perhaps get one more defender signed.
With Mata, Beek, Matic, James, Lingard, Pereira, Scott, and Fred, it shows United now has more depth in the midfield and we only just need to hope that majority of these players keep good forms throughout the season. Same thing on the front line, United has 5 senior players to keep shuffling with Rashford, Cavani, Greenwood, Martial, and Sancho. These are enough to convince even me that United would lift up at least a trophy this season.
Though United got a free agent player in of recent, a 35 years old defender (McShane Paul) from Rochdale and considering the player's age and experience, I don't or I can't expect much from him. I'm just hoping United would sign one more solid defender.
People rated Bruno' s goal so much yesterday. The goal was indeed beautiful but Maguire also deserves a big clap too. He's been a great plus to United and most of his good efforts weren't showing because he wasn't really getting enough help in the defense line but I'm sure with Varane this time around, the story should be beautifully different.
This has been popping up in my head now somehow, and I kept asking myself, what would United's first eleven look like this season? Would it be Cavani or Martial? Would it be double forward or triple forward?
I've known Ole to be a fan of triple forward but then, I can't really say whether Cavani would be or Martial would be the subbing string. Any of them could be and Greenwood would also still seek playing time. Last season it seems like United had not enough players and now all of a sudden it seems like the teams is filled up but it's totally fine. I think with so many options like that, United would definitely do fine and it all now lies in the hands of the Manager if he knows the right players to play as cards per time!
