Liverpool tops the League as Manchester City secures the biggest win of the season.
Watching the way this season's early matches are going, I feel it would be difficult to predict the title winner even by January. I saw Liverpool's match today and a bit of Manchester City's and I was so thrilled while trying to figure out and analyze the equilibrium that's currently existing in the strengths teams like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea has.
These four teams, I checked through the amount of quality players these teams have this season, and considering the depth they've all accumulated, I really can't say this season's winner would have points to brag with at the end of the season.
Manchester City with no doubt had the strongest team or squad last season, their starting eleven and the depth was with more quality players and that really helped them when injuries began to surface at some point. That was the huge advantage they had ahead of the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea.
Now, all these four teams have now invested so much not just into their starting elevens but into the teams depths. It's not like Manchester City lack Midfielders or quality Midfielders but they added Grealish into the squad to make the team's depth more solid. Same thing goes with Manchester United's signing of Jordan Sancho, he's also in to strengthen the team's depth.
Liverpool also got worse last season due to the injuries many of thier starting eleven had but let's take a good look at the current situation of the club. They now now have Tsimikas who I watched today and was really impressed by his performance. The defender is just so sound on the pitch.
Having Van Dijk, Matip, and Gomez back in the team has automatically built back the team's confidence and with that, I personally feel Liverpool would be a great threat this season.
Have you even considered Chelsea's new state?
It's funny but the truth is...... Chelsea actually had the best squad last season but unfortunately for them, they had bad management at some points and the major problem was not having a strong striker. Tammy Abraham wasn't strong enough for Chelsea neither was Giroud and having Timo Werner later seems like more problems knowing fully well that he won't be able to play the No. 9 role for Chelsea.
Now Chelsea has Lukaku, one of the best strikers in the world of football as we speak. With that, I don't think Chelsea would experience this season without a trophy. I am just having a thought but in the world of football, anything can always happen, and not even now that all the four big teams in the league are powerfully prepared for the season!
EPL TODAY!
I watched Liverpool today and Man!!!!!!!!! I was totally convinced that the team truly has something to offer this season. Just two players (Tsimikas and Alexander-Arnold) caught my attention the more, both defenders earned one assist each both beyond that, they both controlled the flanks so well.
Though Liverpool won but they made some silly mistakes that could have cost them a lot but luckily for them Allison (Liverpool's Goalkeeper) was really active at the goal post.
Mane struggled and eventually got a goal for himself. Salah was quite selfish today as usual but he was totally unluckily. I do make this comment and it seems like many people don't get to understand the fact that Liverpool would scored more goals if Salah would always distribute the ball more often within the goal box. He's always more hungry for goals for himself and not for the team and that alone made me prefer Mane to him.
Liverpool's little Lad (Elliott) was given the opportunity to show some skills today and he really did. He's a player with a very powerful footwork, and such players would always have the opponents to commit against them and that was just what I kept seeing from him today. He earned the team so much free kicks, and I believe that would make him a great player in the No. 10 role as he keeps growing.
With the dirty experience Manchester City had against Tottenham last weekend, I knew it was going to be a very bad experience for Norwich at the Etihad today and it happened just the way I predicted it to be.
Aside from the fact that Manchester City had a very big win today, I was quite happy for Grealish securing his first premier league goal for Manchester City. Since his first appearance for Manchester City in the Community Shield match and his appearance again against Tottenham last weekend, I had read so many ill comments about how City wasted £100M to purchase him but I'm sure the story changed today since he scored!
There's still so much to see tomorrow and I can't wait to see Manchester United!
