Hi all! I'm a farm kid born and raised on the Canadian prairies. I make my home in Fort McMurray where I work in supply chain management.
I'm passionate about technology and innovation, especially disruptive ideas that can make our world better. I enjoy building and tinkering with PCs, hacking Android/Linux and experimenting with VR and gaming immersion hardware. I also mine and trade in cryptocurrencies.
I have a slightly artistic side. I studied piano and music theory for many years. I enjoy reading classic novels, sci-fi and fantasy, history and current affairs. I also write creatively and I've recently begun channeling my wry and corny sense of humour into my own satire news site, www.dailyspill.ca, that explores affairs and issues related to the Canadian Oilsands.
I'm married to a beautiful Kenyan woman, and in my travels I've fallen in love not only with her, but with Africa. I'm especially passionate about innovation and ideas that solve problems and improve life for everyday people in developing nations.
Another passion for me is community theatre. I've had the privilege to be involved in dozens of small-town drama productions, ranging from Steel Magnolias to the Pink Panther. A small regret: I have yet to be involved in a Shakespearean production!
