Paul was widely known in his area as a troublesome boy. And the painful thing about him is that does not listen to anybody's advice which is why he is always in one problem or the other. In a week he will successfully cause upto 4 serious problems in his area and run out of the house while the parents will face the hit of their son's action.
One Sunday morning, he was given a house chores to do, but instead of doing it, he stepped out and joined the other street boys to play football in a nearby street till when the parents left to church.
As the football game was going on, Paul in his usual way of getting into problem scored a goal and out of the joy, he picked up a stone and threw into the sky, unfortunately the stone went straight to the car that was passing by, hit the windscreen of the car. The owner came out with an army uniform. They all tried pleading with the army man but their negotiation was not successful. They were all taken to the barracks.
Information got to their parents and when the parents visited the baracks for negotiation, it didn't still work out. Paulo and the other boys spent about two weeks behind bars. They were later released when their community leader came to plead.
Paul was very happy after their release and that experience alone changed a lot of things. Since then Paul was no longer troublesome he was a changed person , and that alone brought Peace and happiness to their family.
At times we only need some good or bad experience to learn and get some kind of happiness. So when it comes to happiness, it comes in different forms and we should all be able to create our own happiness. Paul's family had their own happiness from Paul's experience.
For me seeing myself still growing on daily basis , not withstanding the ups and downs, give me this inner happiness that there is hope. Being able to put smile on people's faces also gives me my own happiness. Know what brings you happiness and stick to it, don't wait for the rough experience to bring happiness, because some experience might not give you a second chance to tell the story.
