The Noxsoma Chronicles [0059]
11-18-2025 … Day 23639 (Super Power Tuesday)

All day long it felt like Friday. I was working on Friday’s show. We have a segment in the show called “Every Day Magic.” Because magic happens every day. To and for everybody. Most humans don’t notice it because they don’t know the game.

What game?
The Cosmic Game. The game of hide and go seek. The Easter egg hunt. The game where Universe breaks off [but not completely] an infinitesimal part of itself – dresses itself up like you – or in my case “Me,” and then tries to recognize itself.

How does it do that?
It leaves little hints. Not the same hints for everyone. We are talking supreme divinity here. Infinite games for infinite expressions of the all. Since your humble vagabond likes trees, we usually use trees as an example. Or we could use bugs. The Cosmic Game that Source plays with trees is different than the one it plays with humans. The game it plays with this human is different than the one it plays with you. Let’s say that the Cosmic Game the All is playing with you is throwing a whole bunch of bad, unfulfilling and even damaging relationships your way. This seems to be a common game especially on the Stack.

Universe puts a certain kind of guy in front of you – like bait – you bite. It goes bad. You feel like shit. You do what you do to “heal” or whatever the current word is for what you do. Then Universe sends you more bait. You are a little more savvy. The “wounds” still tingle when you encounter this candidate. So you play it cool. He reminds you of all the qualities you liked about the last guy – but everything you didn’t like as well. But there are subtle differences.

Universe sends you signals – you call them “red flags” – or whatever the current terminology is. You begin to withdraw slowly. Universe turns up the heat. But dude is just too --- “something.” Not enough of whatever it takes to take the chance. He doesn’t pursue. That makes you a little salty, but “Cool.” You dodged a bullet.

Some time goes by and you are starting to feel that “some kinda way.” The way that women feel when their girlfriends talk about their “man” … early in the game. Your wounds are better healed and the ache of loneliness cannot be satisfied by your toys anymore. Universe drops more bait. Where did you meet him? How did you meet him? Bold. Cocky. You thought he was rude. You are very different than you were when that last worm came down the hook. And this one is even more like that previous brute.

Here’s the game – because you are the U in Universe – but you don’t know it. You think that you are going to get revenge on your X through this guy.

“I’ve met guys like you before,” you say coyly as you lead him into your boudoir.

Ninety days later you’re in a tailspin. Why? Because you got caught in the trap that Uni set up for you. You are feeling all the worst ways about yourself and him – who is everything bad about the previous him … times ten! When he does come around the sex is still good. And you hate it. You hate him and you hate yourself. Three more months. You know he’s got another woman – somewhere around. You are getting advice from your girlfriends, the barista, your therapist – maybe even your mother. You blame everybody. Except yourself. But especially him. He did this to you. He made you dot-dot-dot.

Some of you know how the story continues.
This is the Cosmic Game. Different for guys who are ignorant of the game and much different for those who have learned the game.

This was a drop from Universe, because We did not expect to go there. Uni says make it public. Take the slings … because it’s just different aspects of Uni coming back to Uni.

What we really wanted to share, is how Uni is playing the game with this aspect of itself – currently playing the roll of The Full Metal Ox.

We heard maybe some time last year that “they” were going to stop making Sriracha, that once-trendy chili sauce.

“Do you have Tabasco?” I would ask. Tabasco and I are still on a first-name basis. Most diners – once again, back in the day – had Tabasco sauce (spicy or hot sauce) right on the table. So many people asked for it, it was a regular thing – like ketchup. Starting in the “Sriracha era.” Tabasco got scarce. “We have Sriracha,” I was told too politely, as if I was some sort of unsophisticated condiments Philistine. What corresponded with the “Sriracha era” is that the “waitresses” – first of all stopped being referred to as “waitresses” – they stopped calling everybody “Hon” or “Baby” and they were all younger than Me.

So, okay – I tried Sriracha. I didn’t know what all of the fuss was about. When “Millennials” hit their twenty-somethings everything was “artisanal.” One of those labels that was slapped on everything from tap water to thrift store Converses. Soon enough, like most of this stuff from the Hipster Days, the label became meaningless.

I still preferred Tabasco then, and still prefer it today. But Sriracha is okay.

So anyway – I saw some bottles in the “discount” store a while back, and opted not to purchase a bottle. No regrets. But told myself, “If I see it again, I’ll get some.” I am not slathering it all over everything I eat, but the tongue enjoys the tang every now and then.

Today – just because it’s discount day – I went over to the spot to see if they had any more inexpensive loungewear from China. Nope. So I went over to the shelves where they have these “artisanal” items that the health food stores didn’t want. They have black chia seeds – good for protein shakes, maca powder sometimes, quinoa, extra virgin coconut oil and such goodies. Today they had Sriracha. I checked the price. I checked my pockets. Thought about getting two bottles, but nah – this will last a while.

I take my time getting home, opting to watch the lunch crowd meander down the high street.

When I get back, I almost forget that I bought the Sriracha. I pull it out of my backpack. That’s when Universe steps in. The brand … is “Ox Brand Sriracha!”
