Light Bulb Magic.
Sol-2-Soul, my brothers and sisters. Welcome to one more day above ground, in the Simulatrix.
The Trinity has become used to writing you these semi-daily dispatches from the Sim. Your humble vagabond actually walks the talk. The tightrope of doom, living indestructible and everyday magic. Sometimes the magic is mundane to the point of seeming like mere coincidence. But that’s only because it happens so often.
Here’s a story about light bulbs.
Why did I notice light bulbs last week? The light bulbs and all that household and motor vehicle stuff is in the same aisle as the pet foods & various pet paraphernalia. We have no business in this aisle. Must have taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque. We were pricing the bulbs and recalling how much the prices had increased since the last time, “who-knows-when,” we bought bulbs. Incandescent bulbs no longer exist. There’s a warmth to the old light bulbs that I like. But they are now obsolete. Maybe, since we’re putting this out into Universe, we’ll stumble upon an old general store, or hardware store that still has some 60 watt, old-school bulbs. That would be some magic right there.
A week later, two light bulbs burn out within a couple of days of each other. We have spares, but they are those screw in quasi-neon tubes, which we do not care for.
We weren’t looking for bulbs specifically when we went to the market yesterday. We visit this market almost daily because they always have bogo, (buy one, get one), specials.
“Now, where did I see those light bulbs? Oh yeah, that’s right.”
Light bulbs on bogo sale today. 60 watt, daylight, LED. 800 lumins.
Your boy is more of a low light guy. I find this bulb too bright for the room, and now I have 8 of them that are hyped to last nine years. Maybe the advertisement means that the package of four will last nine years in total, and not nine years each.
“You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, well you might find… you get what you need.”
And that’s how Universe rolls with your humble vagabond. It seems to have always been that way. Observers, as well as yours truly called it “luck.” Then we called it “Magic.” And even though we recognized it and embraced it, we emphasized it with, “incantations,” (before we knew what we were doing was called, “incantations” or “spell casting.”)
One such magic spell is, “all I ever wanted, was all I ever needed. And that’s all I ever get.”
One would be amazed what can be conjured out of the ether, when it’s needed. The right lover, the right, coincidence, and one of my favorite stories, finding a penny in the checkout lane, picking it up and wondering what the odds were that I would even need the penny. This total comes to something like, $9.61. And I have that penny. This magic happened within this decade. Today, cashiers, in general, are not returning or taking pennies.
Today on Substack, we begin posting episodes of the Full Metal Ox daily 11 11 drops. They will show up in your email if you subscribe. They show up in the feed, and if you surf to noxsoma.substack.com, you will find it there. There’s also a an audio podcast, and the video is captioned, but we cannot vouch for the accuracy of the captions. They looked accurate in the opening minutes of the episode.
This is real life for reel life. Recorded live in the street studio of Miami, Florida. We not only recognize and revere the magic Universe drops upon us, utilize it daily.
By the way, there’s no organized religion, mystic philosophy or conscious control system behind this magic. We burn incense because we like the smell. We interpret and follow the signs, and sometimes the signs follow us. In our realm, to name it, is to weaken it. The Simulatrix is our nickname for what we do not experience in this realm. Everything humans agree that’s “out there,” is the Simulatrix. But it’s not the engine behind the every day magic.
We are grateful every day.
Stay safe, stay sane, stay strong, stay savvy, stay serene, stay sovereign, stay subscribed.
Peace.
