Rememer this thing? Yeah, him. Apollo. The ginger cat that almost became the second cat lost to a massive and unbelievable flea infestation. (After yet another warm up, we had to literally seal off the room he used to ocvupy after spraying it down with flea spray. It was either that, or have the flea infest the entire house. We'll be setting fire to the bushes under the window to that room once we can get our hands on a piece of sheet metal to shield the house with so we don't damage the house. Fire is the ONLY way to get rid of tge bush without flea escaping into the house. Spraying the bush was bad.)
Anyways.
The little ginger bastard not only survived, but he's thriving and back to being a trouble causing monstrous hellbeast again.
He and Comet don't get along very well. He's been bullying Comet. Comet has finally started fighting back, and it's hilarious. Apollo is in over his head.
Unlike Apollo, back when he would fight with Tuxie, he wouldn't hold back and if we didn't separate them, Tuxie would've been killed. Apollo did get over wanting to fight Tuxie, but the damage was done, Tuxie had become terrified of Apollo and never trusted him again. Which was heartbreaking, because Tuxie had raised Apollo when he was a kitten for around a month or so. (It's wasn't Apollo's fault, really. My genetic cesspool abused Apollo and ruined him. While I never would've given them a child to care for after all the abuse and neglect I suffered, they love cats and the cats were treated better than I was. Nope. Not Apollo. I'll explain why later on in a later post, as I feel the need to vent about abuse and child abuse laws and such.) Anyways, unlike Apollo, who never used to hold back when fighting, Comet is very controlled when fighting. He uses no more force than necessary, and when he gets his point across, he backs off. Though he will false pounce with his front legs to psych Apollo out if Apollo starts to look like he's gonna try to go back after Comet.
Like I said, Apollo's in over his head.
The fighting between them isn't too intense. Comet is able to shut Apollo down quickly. It's a lot louder than physical. Apollo likes to growl and/or scream loudly while running off.
All things considered, Apollo's doing pretty well. Because we haven't let him go back in his room since his emergency trip to the vet. He was nearly dead, then healing, and thrust into being over stimulated by three other cats without a safe place to spend half his time without the other cats.
It's been really rough on him, but he's getting through it. He's figuring it out.
And hey! The little bastard lived!
