In my part of the world, even the word sex is like a taboo and we do not receive any direction whatsoever during our puberty, not from our teachers and certainly not from our parents. Which is a shame!

And absolutely agree on that point - girls can and will surprise you once they're all grown up! Boys are more clueless at that age.
