I'm guessing that "attention" is the source of his power. Throughout the story arc he seems overly-focused on having all eyes on him and being the focus of everything, like a deity that is only as powerful as how many followers they have. And like a certain ex-president that shall not be named, maybe the best way to defeat him is to deliberately avoid giving him your attention... 😁
